Newton Abbot has new cycle user group. In 2002 the authorities set up a working cycle group, and produced a questionairre to cyclists asking what they wanted in the area. On March 4th a public meeting for all cyclists was held, and over 50 attended. A seconf formative meeting was held on March 18th, when the group was named as the Newton Area Cycle Group. It is hoped that group will be able to work as a voice for local cyclists of all persuasions, to help the local authories develop cycle routes and facilities in the area. |
