| Jackie fell off in the snow on the way back down to Jays Grave but was unharmed apart from a few bramble jabs. Shortly afterwards we were sat down at the "Hound of the Basketmeals" drinking Teas, Coffees and Hot Chocolate. Returning past Bowermans Nose & Becky Falls we descended quickly down over Trendlebere, taking care to avoid some nasty potholes. I was bitterly disappointed at the bottom of the hill, having sped across many 40mph zone signs, my max speed indicator was only showing 39.9mph! - probably not helped by the rough tarmac - oh well another day! The last few miles took us back around Chudleigh Heath to Newton Abbot, to bring an end to a good club ride a bit like those of old. | |
